If they have them you should check out the Thrawn Trilogy or the Dark Empire Trilogy. They're pretty interesting, and quick reads as they're comic omnibus'.
A while ago I read the one about Darth Bane making the rule of two and the one about Darth Vadar that takes place just after episode three. Recently it's just been Knight Errant and some of the Outcast series, I just finished up Allies. It's kinda hard to come across the books here but in a few weeks I'll be able to go to a store near my hometown run by a nice little old lady who sells used books.
Yeah, that does get a bit confusing. I ignore that stuff for the most part, the mind can only take so much at one time. Which books have you read so far?
It's kinda wierd bouncing around the timeline though, made even worse by all the books I haven't read. It's like I'll be in the Old Republic reading Knight Errant and that's fine but then I'll be reading the Outcast series and it talks a lot about Jacean Solo's Sith adventures and I've never read them books.

I also recommend the Mandalorian page (they're like space-Spartans!), the Assembler page, and The Force page (the different beliefs are interesting). I you decide to check it out make sure you have a lot of time on your hands. It's like TVTropes, you read up on something and just start clicking outside links to learn more.
