It might only be temporary, but in any case, the memories you have are yours until your mind goes I'm doing writing, editing and publishing, so I've getting an even more in-depth knowledge of the written word. The corporate stuff is rather blegh but my editing skills are becoming top notch and hopefully my first drafts are improving too, reducing the actual need for editing my own work xD
Yeah ToH is pretty dead these days! Pike is the only person I still talk too from there... everyone else seems to have parted ways. Kind of sad where we'd known each other for so long but that's life really. I'm glad to hear that everything is working out for you What are you doing for your post-grad program?
I am doing well, significantly better than I was just prior to your return and my disappearance! I'm thick into my post-grad program now, so I don't feel as though I've quite escaped being a student (not that I want to, mind) and so it still feels like pretending at being an adult. But I live in, or at least near, Brisbane, in a nice place with my girlfriend and another roommate, and things are pretty swell. It's been a big change of lifestyle for me and I'm still trying to adjust entirely but I spent a good chunk of time getting my priorities in order and I think it's helped me become a lot better adjusted! I still pop over to ToH sometimes just to see what it all looks like. I wasn't there long, and I wasn't very active, but even an idiot could sense the strong bonds between people and it was really surprising to notice the lack of such things in my life. That's changed a bit now because I'm a little older and a little wiser but it was super educational and I miss the place. Glad you have internet back at home now too!
