Do Make Say Think are great, I recommend any of their albums. Fly Pan Am my favourite. Really weird noise-ish stuff, their more recent album, N'écoutez Pas is their best, I think. It has more post-rock than any of their others. Uhmm, on Constellation bands like Glissandro 70, Polmo Polpo, Hangedup, 1-Speed Bike, Black Ox Orkestar and Hrsta are all definitely worth a listen. I could go on about other bands outside of Constellation, but I think I'm going to save myself the trouble. ;P
Yeah, not suprised you haven't heard of them. They're the lesser known, but much better, of Mike Patton's brainchilds. It's weird to say the least. Actually I'm trying to download some stuff off Constellation, like Fly Pan Am and Do Make Say Think. Any other good reccomendations? I know what you mean. Seems like you're one out of a handful of people who've even heard of half the bands I listen to. Oh well, their loss.
Oh. Well, good job. Hahaha. I haven't heard much about Mr. Bungle. I'll give them a whirl sometime. And if you haven't already, check out Constellation records. Godpseed and ASMZ are on it, but it has a ton of other great bands too that deserve listening. Nice to see more people on here with a good taste in music.
Hahaha clever clever. Actually I listen to A Silver Mount Zion, I have their "He Has Left Us" and "This is Our Punk Rock" cds. They are most definetly incredible as well, as it's basically just Godspeed with more piano and violin (which can only be a good thing.) Not sure if you listen to them or not, but you should check out Mr. Bungle if you get the chance. They're incredibly original and make some of the most interesting music you'll probably ever hear. California is an amazing cd
Yes, God's pee are certainly awesome. I recommend A Silver Mount Zion, most of their members were a part of God's pee, so they are similar, well kinda. I noticed you like Explosions, too. I salute you, good sir.
Godspeed is such an incredible band. I commend you for being a fan of theirs
