Yeah, very true. I'm just a control freak, so I figured this was one of the most important moments in my life, so by george, it was MINE! xD Actually, I didn't have an epidural with my first one, b'c they thought I was allergic to one of the medicines. Turns out I'm not. But with my little one, everything went too fast, so didn't have time for one. I breasted fed both, but to each his own!
I feel like I'm already confined to a bed only because of how tired I am! And yeah, my sister didn't have an epidural with either of her's and personally, I like the whole "nature takes it's course" thing, which includes the fact that I feel I should have most if not all control. Women have been birthing for.. well ever, I doubt there were labor coaches telling me when to push and breath and do everything back in the 1200's, so I'm pretty sure natural instinct of what to do will take over. And don't worry, when I go walking my mom goes with me! And I definately will ask you questions and what not, I'm pretty sure I have everything down, but hey I never know what's going to happen at this rate! And no, I plan to fomula feed!
Great to hear kitten! I hope she comes before then too! The only thing I didn't like about being induced was being confined to the bed. I wanted to move around and use the labor ball because I had back contractions. But meh, whatev. And good luck on not using an epidural. I didn't have one with either of mine. But it made me feel more in control of my labor, and I liked that. I told them when I was ready to push and what I was feeling, not vice versa. Going for walks helped me have contractions, just don't go alone! Again let me know if you have questions or need support. I'll give you my email or my cell if you want! Are you planning to nurse?
Yeah I'm feeling good! I went to the doctor today and I'm scheduled to be induced at 5:30am on Monday. xD Unless she comes before then of course. I'm seriously hoping that she'll come before then because since the doctor checked for dialation, I've been having a massive ammount of contractions. My sister and I both have had painless contraction's so she's like "When the pain is just like BAM, I'M HERE AND YOU CAN'T GET AWAY" to GO TO THE HOSPITAL" xD I'm just waiting for them to get worse at this point!
I heard that less than 10% of babies are born on their due dates. I went early because I was induced and had sumo-babies. I hope you're feeling ok! If you have questions or want to talk, please don't hesitate to ask!
