No, unfortunately she hasn't played anything really. I started her on video games just recently with the Walking Dead point-and-click, and she's really enjoying that. I want to get her into Final Fantasy, but I figured I'd start her with something easier to follow. It will probably turn into her watching me play most of the time, but I know she'll really enjoy the story. VII's one of my favorite, but I can understand how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. I have the same problem you're having with VIII. I really just don't get the appeal of it.
I love IX. It's my favorite game ever. I like VII, but it isn't one of my top Final Fantasy games. I'm not sure why but it can't hold my interest too well. I have told myself I have to finish though, so I'm going to stick to it. I even have a blog on the forum of my progress. Has she played any of them?
