I believe so. S/he may still know their songs, but not be particularly talented at performing them.
If a bard's only perform skill was (mime), would he be able to use his bardic music abilities?
Pretty much. They'd likely be more utility in nature as Bard spells are more like illusions than damage spells.
Bards have 6th level spells that are the equivalent of 8th level spells for wizards/sorcerers. That means that 7th-8th level bard spells should be approximately the equivalent of low-tier epic-level spells, right?
I dunno. The possibilities are endless. :O
I just realized something. The Sublime Chord prestige class has access to 4th-9th level spells, taken from the bard and sor/wiz spell lists. That means that technically, through independent spell research, my Sublime Chord has the ability to create, learn, and cast theoretically non-existent Brd 7/8/9 spells. What kind of random shenanigans do you think I could pull off with access to this impossible level of magic?
