That's a wonderful idea! I actually had an awesome idea for the battle system that will probably solve the problems that I was having, but I have to figure out how to make it work first. I'm going to take a break for a little bit today and play some video games! Now that I have an idea of where I want to take the battle thing, I'm very relieved XD
Ah but the more you tweak it before you finish, the more you'll have to in the end anyway! That's what I've found. I'm just going to blast through this with everything I know I want to do right now so I can focus on the little additions later.
So, you're working seriously again? If so, I am the prouds. I'm working on balancing out gameplay right now; I don't want to add anything new, only to have to change it majorly somewhere down the road. I'm working on conceptualizing some sort of battle system at the moment.

I am out of my rut! It took a little bit of encouragement, but I'm making progress again and very happy for that.
God, it takes about a week for my motivation to start falling. I just don't have enough direction, ya know? I have this awesome idea in front of me, but don't have the drive enough to push myself to make it into something playable.

Nice! I'm glad that you're making headway! You're using stock RMXP tilesets, yeah? You know, since I found out that you design indie games, talking with you about this stuff has really helped my motivation stay true. I have a game thread posted at the hbgames forums.
