That's a bit strange. I suppose at a glance Mr. Swanson could be mistaken for his avatar though. But upon closer inspection the excellent moustache and love of fine wood work should show through.

Not a problem. If you ever need some advice on drum gear, I know far too much and have spent far more money over the years than I care to admit so I have have informed opinions on nearly everything out there. And if I don't, I can usually read up on it and form one.
Never apologize for talking "too much" about drums! I don't need the pads themselves to be quiet, exactly, I just need to be able to play them in my apartment without getting noise control called on me (so electronic kits are perfect). I think the one I was looking at was a Yamaha, which was on sale for a grand (with a kick pedal thrown in). If it comes to the point where I'm ready to buy one, I'll go Yamaha or Roland for sure. Thanks for your advice!
Holy crap! I just realized how much I actually rambled after hitting post. Somebody needs to put a muzzle on my fingers when drums are brought up.
