Blue Submarine No. 6: A reclusive mad scientist floods the world, and the survivors fight his legions of aquatic hybrid abominations, and everything that entails. It's only four episodes, so it makes the most of its premise without ever wearing out its welcome. It's also very beautiful if you look past the use of late-'90s CGI.
That's the name I was looking for! I knew him from Shangri-La, actually, even if I haven't really delved much into the show, because the story didn't really grab my attention, but the artstyle did. I knew something looked familiar. Last Exile is on my list of things to watch, though, when I have the time to get around to it. What is Blue Submarine No. 6 about?
