No escaping in FF3 DS either.
I remember my character's exp. values going all unequalized in FF3 (NES Version) for whatever reason. Or maybe it was FF5, but there's no escaping it in FF5.
I do the keeping Exp equal thing in FF3.
Oh, so you're also using a female hero? I always have a tendancy to always stick the characters in their chapter groups and never separate them (so Alena-Kiryl-Borya and Maya-Meena will always be used in those groups or not at al). It's mostly to keep their exp. values equal. I'm weird like that. I also keep the experience levels for my characters equal in Final Fantasy 1.
