Not really.
I just realized after a moment of looking at the video. The Japanese voices threw me off.
No, this is the English version as you can see. My German version also is in Japanese when it comes to the voices.
I am loving having your allies follow you around. Do you know if the English voice actors reprise their roles in the English version?
An example of the first chapter where you can fight, at least interact a bit with the area and for how small the map of this part looks like it is actually pretty big. And overall the first game, though I would still like more options is pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yJdOAiQCJ4
I would rather recommend the first Pirate Warriors. The 2nd one has a non-canon story apparently or at least a Dream Story. I don't know if that Dream is really dreamed in the canon story. The 1st one is a very summarized version of the story up until a certain point, the New World part. The first one already lacked options but it definitely was better with at least the options to run around while defeating your enemies and use you Gum Gum powers to swing from one place to another (though those spots are flagged to do so) and generally do a bit more within the area. It still is a bit stiff but the second one is only a territory game without doing something else in your areas and that really is disappointing. It is very cool action-wise - the first one, too - and you have many characters to play with but if that is the reason why "interact with area" options were not included they could have gotten their own respective levels to interact with or simply only appear for certain battle modes while the interacting part is with Luffy of another main character. There would have been enough possibilities.
Would you recommend it? I have a PS3 so I could probably check it out some time. Never played a One Piece game before. I used to watch the show back when it was dubbed by 4 Kids.
No, it is Pirate Warriors 2. It is one year old already but I couldn't get it earlier. I would rather get the new game Unlimited World R though.
It was just a lead up to my second sentence. In response to people not liking it. I single out people who dislike X, but probably likes VII (although I forgot to mention that part), as I just imagine they'd be angrier about it than the reverse. I could be wrong, though. Since I don't pay that much attention to the fandom outside of this forum, anyway. Sorry for the confusion. The thing about Gilgamesh sounds interesting. I never got that far into XII, sadly. Is the One Piece game "Romance Dawn?" Or something else?
I am currently into my new One Piece game. It is really entertaining, fun and looks very cool but also a bit disappointing as it lacks options as a game itself.
