There are films being made? :o I never knew! I think I’ll be able to finish them anyways before anyways... unless I die or something
I've never been a big fan of King but fell in love with the series in a similar way. Someone bought me Wolves of the Calla and I eventually got round to buying The Gunslinger. The last two books certainly pay off all the time invested in reading. Try to finish the series before the films get made!
I happen to be reading through the series at the moment. A long time ago, my mother bought me Wizard and Glass, as I was a fan of Stephen King, but I found out that it was the 4th or so in the series so I didn’t read it. I never got around to starting the series until earlier this year, and now I’m up to Wolves of the Calla. Some say it’s something you either love or hate, but I think I’m neither; I find myself enjoying the books, and they’re entertaining and enthralling enough to keep me reading through them, but there are a few aspects of the universe that I don’t really like, and I’m pretty sure they won’t become my favorite Stephen King novels (though, certainly, I am far from disliking them!) Nevertheless, The Gunslinger and Wizard and Glass are my favorites in the series so far.
