  1. Oh yeah, and that person who posted that went on my blog and posted that I'm retarded I have no idea how I could have made someone that angry
  2. That's true.

I think it takes a certain level of self-awareness, though. I don't think it's easy for a lot of people to admit their weaknesses. And admitting you might be prone to addiction is hard. I don't really see it as something to be ashamed of since I haven't given in to it, just something I need to address so that it never gets out of control.
  3. It's good you have that self control. A lot of people do not
  4. Absolutely. Addiction runs in my family on both sides. As does mental illness (especially in women). It's something I have to be wary of too. My father's mother was an alcoholic and eventually drank herself into the grave.

So everything I do has to be in some sort of moderation. It'd be REALLY easy for me to drink all day every day, and I recognize that in myself. But when I start drinking too much, I just make sure it's not even in the house or near me. It can be difficult to ween myself (more mentally than anything) but it's worth not becoming an addict.
  5. I have to be extra aware of anything addictive because of the family history. Some people are just more predisposed towards addiction than others. So I make it a point to never drink or get drunk when upset so it never becomes a crutch. Sometimes being aware is the best thing to do
  6. No, no, you didn't offend me! I was glad to get some clarification, though. For me it was important to get some feedback from everyone (not just you) who said they hated drugs, because I occasionally smoke weed or take painkillers. But again, I think the fact that it's OCCASIONALLY makes all the difference.

I have had a bit of an alcohol problem in the past, but I've never let it get past the point where I can't control it. If I know I'm drinking too much, I will cut back.
  7. Yeah I saw, thanks for reporting. And I appreciate you checking in. Hope I didn't offend you either :3
  8. Yeah, I reported that person. Apparently they've been a member since February, but it was their first post. It just felt very trolly. If you ain't part of the family, you don't get to say trout to other members.
  9. No no, I was more clarifying and also posting it for that person who's post I guess got deleted
  10. Hey, I didn't want you to think I was judging your stance. I'm the same way. My first serious boyfriend (who cheated on me and emotionally abused me) was addicted to weed, so I understand.
