  1. I hope you get sexually violated by a pterodactyl.
  2. If by "douche" you mean "special person with awesome powers well beyond ordinary men," then yes, I agree.
  3. I think you're just a douche.
  4. Apparently I'm just better than you.
  5. I found some parts of the show to be quite enjoyable, particularly that there are actual sword fights. Even if there is an excessive amount of bullet time. I'll pick up the first few and see what it's like then.
  6. They're still better than the show. Admittedly that doesn't say much.
  7. Hahaha. I may still check out some of the books then, but I probably won't have the same expectations I did before.
  8. I do like Cara. She's one of the characters that is very well-done. I think she's even better in the books. The only character that may be better in the show is Kahlan, because she was hot (and less stupid).
  9. That's one of the examples I had heard of, it's completely absurd. And then it comes to light that he's a war wizard. He's practically a god.

How's Cara in the books? She's probably the best character on the show.
  10. The worst example of that is book 8, Naked Empire, where throughout the entire book Richard is coerced to help a group of people because they poisoned him and were keeping the cure a secret until he helped them. Throughout much of half the smurfing book there's talk and narration about the worsening symptoms and the fear Richard won't find a cure. And then, in a dramatic sequence, the antidote is destroyed! The characters are left in despair as Richard falls closer and closer towards death. How will he ever survive?

Richard... just makes some more. *facepalm*

Many of the books are terribly written. However, the characters overall are very well done and made the books entertaining for me. It just gets unbearable with the last 4 books turn what was dialogue into tons of preachy, repetitive speeches (even though I largely agree with many of them, as an atheist libertarian). The repetition is physically painful in the last two books.
