A good Game plot is like an ocean. Starting from the beach you walk into it. Every plot twist and piece of Character development brings you deeper and deeper in. Final Fantasy VIII's Game plot was like a long flat road with Jagged Glass that you must walk without Shoes. Every Twist in the plot, rather than the roading getting deeper you are met with a man who slaps you in the face.
