Bipolar?

Do you think it's possible I am? Just popped into my head, so I thought I'd asked.

Also, if you are reading this, I want you to know that I love you to the moon and back a million billion times.

You're hyperactive as absolute smurf but you're not bipolar. Trust me.

No. If you were bipolar you'd go through a lot more and longer lows.

At least from what I've seen on the forum, no, no possible way you're bipolar.

Sounds good, just been wondering because I've been having dark thoughts again. But that's probably just because my brain never seems to shut down or shut up.

Honestly HC. That's how everyone is. Humans are thinking machines, we've gotten where we are by having brains that race. Our brains are our ultimate Olympians. What you should do is figure out a positive way to use your brain's racing, to which I recommend learning. Something. Anything. It's great for your Brain, great for stress, great for getting stupid thoughts out of your head. I took up coding Java this week because I was stressed.

    What should I start studying.....

Man, I can't even think of a topic, my interests are split in so many directions you couldn't find all the ends with a gps.

Dude, I'm in the same position you're in. So I totally get it. I have a mind going in a million directions, starting off life as an adult with a bunch of new responsibilities. I can't say I know a solution, but I can say I know how to make the process easier.

In regrads to they was your thinking, I have a severe case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, but I thought I was bipolar or had Asperger's Syndrome (my understanding was limited). While I doubt you have anything in that department, if you are seriously considering maybe getting an evaluation and/or therapy than there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, since you're in college, some universtities will do that for little or no cost. It will help you clear any misconcepetions you may have or just make you feel better and boost your self-image. I think you're right as rain, but if you think you might need some professional insight there's no shame in trying.

In regards to what you want to study, I'm pretty much exactly the same way. I'm leaning towards law school and majoring in Arabic, as my father is a lawyer and I would love to do some international law or diplomacy. I'm shooting high but I can be more than content with anything else. I suppose that's a good goal to set.

My suggestion? Talk with an advisor; contact someone you can trust with advice for things like this. Know your skills and passions and find something you feel strongly about. If you still aren't sure, attend any events that has information on a variety of subjects. You're guaranteed to find something and you've got some time to make a decision.

You're a bit hyper, but you're pretty cool. Don't sweat it.

You might want to get an evaluation and get some closure or a better sense of what's troubling you than waste precious time and energy worrying about it.
If it helps ease your mind though, I find that being a thinker and introvert by nature makes me a lot more attuned to an inner world. I could probably write a saga based on the contents of my imaginary world. That said, my thoughts also range from the everyday-mundane to the depply philosophical.
If your life or everyday activities or relationships with people aren't being compromised, I wouldn't be too worried. Sometimes, it's actually the excessive worrying that brings about all these mental health issues. I have patients who, in a way, 'worried' themselves sick.
That said, Laddy's advice is pretty sound.

It's incredibly difficult to diagnose someone over the internet, it's next to impossible. I agree with Yukina, if you want to be reassured, go get a clinical evaluation done. And to be fair, I wouldn't let it worry you too much, many people live with bipolar and you'd be none the wiser.
