Is It Already Thanksgiving Almost?

I keep thinking it's next week.
But it's this week. Right? RIGHT!?
I haven't broken the news to my padres about NYC, but then again, my mom hasn't answered her phone, so whatever. Can't say I didn't try.
But we also won't make it to Texas for Turkey Day, either. Just can't afford it... For obvious reasons.
It makes me sad, that my parents will be without family this year. I thought my sister was going & I was just gonna ride with her, but she's not.
I was also looking forward to seeing old co-workers and hanging out and stuff.
Oh well. I asked my sister if I could have Parker this year.. Our roommate is gonna be home this week, so he's hoping/expecting us (me) to cook. Never cooked a whole turkey before, but it can't be much harder than roasting a whole chicken. Right? RIGHT!?
Buuuuut my sister said they may have dinner at her house if her GF is up for it, but isn't for sure yet. She needs to let a bitch know so that I can get shopping done if they're not doing it. I don't wanna fight the crowds over a damn turkey or the last tub of oysters.
On the upside.. We went shopping yesterday. I got this awesome new coat from Target.. Sad face 'cuz they didn't have it in white like I wanted, so I got a greyish-brown instead. It's realllly cute, though. Jay got a new coat too (Calvin Klein from Ross.. Only $75) and I finally got around to investing in a couple of new bras. I only have 1 that's still in good shape, but it's way too tight even on the loosest clips or whatever.
And he bought NBA2K14 & got me the reboot of Need For Speed Most Wanted .... Which I'm not entirely impressed with. There's no story mode or offline multi-player & that was the whole point of getting it. I was looking forward to seeing Josie Maran in HD sauntering around in that tube top and the leather pants and the guy who looks & sounds almost exactly like Mark Heeley from Roseanne (you know. The whole updated Greaser thing). The top boss guy. Whatever.
But, I have to say.. It's visually pretty amazeballs. Same with NBA. .. Turns out, I'm not 1/2 bad at it, but after like 3 games, I got tired of playing.
Now I just need to order these booties that I'm dying to get & pick up a few long sleeve shirts/sweaters. I saw a bunch at Target that I really liked. Hopefully with the return of the roommate, we'll have a little bit extra to spend and I can get some. Jay says I need new pajama pants since mine are 8 sizes too big and fall off of me no matter how hard I try to keep them up.
I guess I'm getting a bit more excited. We started talking about the move again, and I told him once again that I don't plan to be in NYC forever. He actually said that he understands if I don't wanna go. My jaw nearly hit the floor. But. I told him that I really didn't have much choice either way and that I'd already made up my mind to go with him.
He says we can go snowboarding at some point this winter. That's been on my bucket list for -ages-. I'm fascinated with it & am dying to learn.
So... I guess that's it for now.. It's raining and I need to go grocery shopping today... Blah.
