I want to share some recent recipes that have gone down in the Darth Alliekin household.

Hootenanny - this is fried squash, onions, and potatoes. This is a separate dish from 'squash and hamburger meat'

Snits and Grippers (schnitzel and... what?) - fried sausage with boiled cabbage.

Fried spam sandwiches - spam fried on a sandwich with mayonnaise.

Southern "comfort" or "soul" food is a smurfing lie. don't listen to them.

    What's wrong with those?? Except for the spammiches. I like spam and mayonnaise, but putting them together sounds like asking for death.

    Mmm... I think I want some snits and grippers.

    You're right, I did miss that common thread.

    Volunteer to make them dinner. Serve them salad and videotape their reaction for us.

    I fixed a packet of thai peanut something or other, stir fried it with chicken and mushrooms and bean sprouts and trout, and got a half-hearted reception! :cry2:

    I'm sure the food you ate before you went to school and got all gentrified was probably similar and you liked it.

    I refused to eat it then, foa. My willingness to try unpleasant sounding food has increased after getting gentrified.

    Well good! Will you come eat hog brains with me? I want to try them but I don't want to get some, dislike them, and have them stare at me forever.
