Thursday is currently my favorite day of the week. Why? Because I enjoy the sounds of servants bustling around me. My lawn gets mowed, my cypress trees clipped, my hedges trimmed (not sexually), and the pool boy comes to be sure, as the days grow warmer, that I have clean water to lounge in during my leisure time. Also, the guy who fixed the garage door was kind of cute.

Also, BJ has Fridays off all summer, so on Thursdays we can stay up late together. Throughout the year, Thursday is also the best night for TV. Tonight a new Futurama airs, you know.

Thursday is also a big day for chores. Thursday is Floorsday, where I clean all of the floors, along with BJ's beard trimmings. And it's trash night. But when those chores are done the house feels like it's at its cleanest, so these things do not dampen my like of Thursday.

My mood is especially lifted today because BJ got me a present. He never gets me random little presents! It's an 8GB flash drive, and I shall treasure it always. Or at least until 40GB flash drives are under $20.

    Once my dad got me this 150GB flash drive that he found on eBay for like a buck and I was like "omg cool" but then I tried to move some of the data on it onto someone else's computer, and it turns out it doesn't work in XP

    Thursday is also better known as Thor's day and that alone makes it worthy of mention every week. Be sure to sing the praises of the god of thunder lest he smite you with the mighty Mjolnir.

    I hate it when they come mow the lawns and trim the hedges. I just want to sleep, dammit!

    The sad thing is, your yard mowers probably make more money than I do.

    I really don't think I've ever touched a lawn mower. BJ used to mow the lawn when he was a kid though. This house has a lot of sculpted bushes, so, yeah, they probably make a decent chunk of chance off it.

    And, thank you, Laddy. Now fix the drain cover on my hot tub.

    Probably because poor people are the ones who get hired to mow lawns, not the ones that do the hiring.

    Probably because most people aren't ridiculous enough to refer to the pool cleaner and gardeners as "servants." But it pleases me. Also note that I'm renting this house, so it's not like I'm even the one paying these people.

    But it's fun to pretend.
