Karifean's Blog of Visual Novels

So Kazamatsuri.org, a Key community site I frequent, is having a bookclub on Key's second visual novel: AIR. As I have not read AIR, and also because this bookclub sounds pretty fun, I will be reading along.

So here's how this'll work. Over two weeks the participants will read through a particular route in AIR and discuss it, and at the end of said two weeks there will also be a podcast about the route in question. There are six routes in AIR, so this will take 12 weeks in total, having started yesterday and finishing on May 4th.

Now what is AIR? Well if you've seen the anime you'll probably know what it's about, but apparently the anime does not at all live up to the original visual novel. The main character is Yukito Kunisaki, a puppeteer on a journey. While staying in a rural town for a while he encounters three girls. Maybe, just maybe, Yukito has the opportunity to fulfill a promise passed down through generations...

So yeah, this is a thing. I'm gonna be posting my thoughts on the individual routes alongside the bookclub, so once every two weeks. This is far below my usual pace so I'll probably be reading one or a few visual novels on the side while keeping up with the bookclub.

Been a while since I last read a Key novel. Given that they're my favorite storywriters, I'm definitely looking forward to it.
