IT IS A GREAT DAY

Rate this Entry
So I have a ton of work to do for law school, which of course means I spent much of the day procrastinating. Earlier tonight I was inspired to again start updating Stuff That Looks Like Jesus, which you should check regularly. But more importantly, I was looking through the submissions and clearing out the spam ones when I came across... MY FIRST HATE MAIL!!!!!

For context, I have always dreamed of getting hate mail. I keep up with a few great blogs on science, religion, and criminal justice issues, and reading their hate mail is always entertaining. I want to be Richard Dawkins, reciting my hate mail by the firelight. In short, this is exciting.

First, is an anonymous commenter:

I am greedy for laughs, I admit. Though as Brian would hack off his own arm before putting up any ads, I unfortunately will not be making any money off of STLLJ anytime soon. Maybe one day we will sell t-shirts.

Then comes Leah [redacted]. She originally submitted this picture to STLLJ, but did not approve at my vulgar implications of Jesus appearing in a sucker and asked that I remove her name. But as I was busy ignoring STLLJ for real life business, I did not see that comment, and so she started spamming the submission system. Her latest was yet another milestone for me: a baseless legal threat! Hurray! For the record, I removed her last name from the post as soon as I noticed her messages, but only because her first message was polite.

That was sent over a month ago. Strangely I have yet to be served with a lawsuit.

Well, it's settled then: I have to keep updating. How else will I get any more hate mail?

I love when people threaten legal action, but I would love it more if I were you.

Remon: thanks. I'll be updating the site pretty regularly until I at least get caught up on user submissions (still over a dozen left).
