Karifean's Blog of Visual Novels

So within the next month or two we'll finally see the release of CLANNAD on Steam. CLANNAD being one of Key's most acclaimed visual novels and also one of my all-time favorites. One of the finest examples of a great character-focused game.

But I'll try to summarize it as best as I can.

In essence the bookclub is all about enjoying and loving CLANNAD together as a community. Every week for about three months the discussion will focus on a particular route/storyline path in CLANNAD. Discussion being not just general appreciation but analysis; delving deep into what makes it as good as it is, which is something that, for me at least, furthers the appreciation even more. There have already been two bookclubs, focusing on planetarian and AIR respectively, and the result was pretty amazing. Especially with the latter, the bookclub helped me appreciate the novel so much more as we thoroughly tried hard to understand and form a deeper connection to these fictional characters.
