Seems like censoring in games has become quite a controversial issue recently. I mostly see people vehemently claiming that censoring is bad practice and should not be a thing. And I gotta be honest, I feel it's not quite that simple.

This article is a bit old, being from mid-2013, but this has been an issue in the visual novel localizing scene for years now and it STILL hasn't stopped being a subject of hot debate. The blog post wasn't written by me, but I feel it's a good example of a valid pro-censoring viewpoint.
For me personally, I'm fine either way. But I can't help but feel that censoring may indeed be a good choice depending on the circumstances. With so many visual novels I've read having tacked on adult content at least in some versions, I do feel that bringing over the uncensored releases could severely damage potential newcomers' perceptions.
What do you guys think of this censoring controversy?
