Help me find an anime (again)^^

Rate this Entry
alright, im fully caught up with Fairy Tail, so im ready for a new anime to replace Naruto, since i have no urge to watch that anymore.
i really got tired of those fillers.

normaly i dont complain about fillers, but with naruto they just completely chance the direction of the story.

So at the moment im watching Bleach and Fairy tail.

euuhhmm.. i dont know exactly what im looking for, but i guess something alike Fairy tail.

So, what would you recommend? ^^

p.s: pls also explain what the anime is about :o

Check out Law of Ueki. True, there are a lot of faults in the show, like the creates complete inability to do basic math, and fairly static characters, but the characters are a lot of fun, the jokes are funny, and the show can get outright rediculous, like the Super Magnum.

But on a whole, the plot is still well done, and they get pretty creative with all of the characters powers and what they can do with them. For example, the main character Ueki has the power to turn Trash into Tree's, and over the course of 48 or so episodes it never feels like he is doing the same thing fight after fight.

Basically the story is 100 angels are in a competition to see who becomes the next King of Heaven, but they do this by giving powers to one middle school student and then they engage in combat. The winner gets the ability to obtain any Talent their heart desires, as well as their sponser becoming the Next King of Heaven.

Talents can range anywhere from something silly, to the Talent to run, too the Talent to Control people.

In reality the show has more faults then posotives, but it's still a fun ride.

Really you shouldn't be searching for such low quality shows such as 'fairy tail'. And I'm surprised it took you this long to drop Naruto. Bleach has but a few good things going for it, but it's epic failures are laughable at best. One should endulge in more 'sophisticated' anime, such as Cowboy Bebop, or perhaps more underapreciated shows like Monster and Paranoia Agent. For newer shows I simply must suggest Darker then Black. It is full of well developed characters, amazing plot complete with excellently executed twists, all on top of great animation. Yes, you MUST check this one out.

    I actually do like Bleach.

haha thansk!! ill be sure to check them out.

i havent watched any of the latest naruto fillers, but i kept hoping they would quickly get back to the story.. but now it just takes to long so.. fck that..

Low quality? thats a mather of taste and how you look at it..
sure its not the strongest anime, but i enjoy having a laugh. it has a funny story and loveble characters.

ive watched Death Note, but i guess detective stuff etc are just not my thing..
ive also watched quit some Full Metal Alchemist. but after a week or 2 not seeing it i somehow lost interest. i quited at a not so interesting moment, so when i picked it up again i was to bored.

Oh no, Naruto and Bleach mess up on enough to call them Low quality. However they do both do some things right, and I can fault no one for enjoying them. Hell, I love that Ueki show I mentioned, and it fails on some pretty basic levels.

And let us not forget Dragon Ball Z, one of the most verifiable terrible shows out there, and yet it is awesome.

And I haven't actually seen Fairy Tails. XD

Death note was fun, but far to often the logic stretches are pretty damned ridiculous.

Have you tried Shakugan no Shana yet Shaibanana? the final series is now in the process of being made (think we are up to episode 13 now of series 3) and I have to say it's looking like its going to top the second series (which in itself is something of an accomplishment as I never thought anything could replace it as my favourite).

Highly recommended, (seem to remember recommending the same thing last time).

You may like Persona 4! The only downsides are, only 13 episodes have been aired (it's still going) and it's only going to be 26 episodes long, when the shows you mention are the endless type that you can binge on for weeks.

    EDIT:

Oh, maybe you should try Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry)!

There is absolutely no flaws in the logic of Death Note :fanboycolbert:

Seriously though, I have to recommend Cowboy Bebop. It's pretty freaking awesome. Bleach is good if you like action, though it can be a little frustrating seeing the same things happen so many times. (SPOILER)Ichigo suffers from Saiyan syndrome where he must fight until he is dead to become stronger. He almost dies/loses every fight forever. And the filler arcs, oh man.

I don't have my anime with me so I can't recommend anything. Sorry!

Angel Beats! is a short series but one I enjoyed thoroughly and the ending was perfectly satisfying. It's basically about people that, when they die, they end up in another world. In this world, if they comply by the rules they become 'NPCs', so a gang of people are trying to kill the Head Girl (codename Angel) to try to find out how to escape the world.

Obviously you haven't mentioned One Piece. I adore the manga, but have yet to delve into the anime, so others may have more valid opinions (NeoCracker might get his snob on over it). It does have the plus side of having little 'Saiyan syndrome' as Jiro dubbed it. That's about one guys mission to become the Pirate King. Not a lot more I can say. Oh, and also that his skin is rubber.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an amazing anime but seems a bit hit and miss. The ending (and alternate ending) is mental, and it is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but it's a classic that I say most people should give a shot. Evangelion is the benchmark for Mech anime, but without being as lame as Gundam. It's more centred about the emotions of the drivers of the mechs and their mission to stop the 3rd Impact (and the end of humanity).

I loved Eva, but my god that shows pacing is horrifying. That is the biggest thing holding that show back, but hey. It's still fun. And I'm loving the re-build they are doing.

i can't honestly comment on one piece. The Four Kids version was trout, but I haven't seen the Funamation Version, and I don't read Manga, so I can't pull the snob out yet.
