At PAX EAST we had official confirmation from Square Enix about Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix to be released for the NA regions which includes the final mix of Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories as well as a video compilation of 358/2 Days. If you're a fan of the series but missed out on some of the games in between the main entries of 1 and 2 because of them being on handhelds you didn't own, than 1.5 is perfect for you!

At PAX East itself, the English trailer was released. Check it out for all the nostalgia feels.

Just as of today a few screenshots from the HD version was released via Square Enix's NA blog and Kingdom Heart's Facebook page.

Are you excited? I sure am! This game was one of the most important games to me as I was growing up so I'm very excited if it'll hit a whole new generation. Just seeing Sora team up with Beast again in beautiful HD graphics makes my heart jump a bit. (We all know that the Beast was the only character you actually replaced either Donald or Goofy with.) More so than ...

Dragon Quest X is soon to be released for the Wii U on March 30th in Japan. Hopefully we'll get a stateside representation but as for now a recently released trailer showing off the graphics of the Wii U was shown to fans.

If you don't know much about Dragon Quest X, let me help you there! Dragon Quest X is a MMORPG set in the Dragon Quest Universe. The game was originally released last year for the Wii console but was soon upgraded with updated graphics to the Wii U. Both consoles share servers so regardless of what console you play on, you'll be able to play with your friends.

Unfortunately there isn't any news on a NA or EU release as of yet but there are hopes that this re-release will spark the DQ love again. When it was first released for the Wii, the game only sold roughly 400,000 copies. Compare that to Dragon Quest IX who sold around 5 million world wide, that's really low. With the sales so low, there isn't much hope for a localization as of yet. Fans are optimistic that a localization will come ...

Kingdom Hearts is making its way to the PC by ways of a browser based game. The news comes from Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix. When you get the game, there will be extra bonus items for Kingdom Hearts X [Chi].

KH X[chi] is a free to play browser based game where you will be playing an original character that travels to the Disney worlds. Munny is used to synthesis items and draw points can be exchanged for further cards. Potions will of course be used to restore your health while Ether will replenish you abilities for boss battles.

The first print copies of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will come with a Sora (R+) card, 20,000 munny, and 4,00 card draw points. If you decide to buy directly from Square Enix themselves than you'll get all those as well as a battle support set featuring a Riku (R+) card, 10 Potions and 10 Ether. Both character cards of Riku and Sora can be used in battles.

With this news of a browser based game, it means that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is closer to being ...

Square Enix just registered a domain name of warfornasgoth.com, which was spotted by Superannunation. If you don't know, Nosgoth is where the Legacy of Kain games take place. Check out the original intro for the 1999 game.

Recently finished with their reboot of the old series Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics has created the majority of the Kain games. Square Enix hasn't officially announced a remake but it wouldn't be too much of a surprise. After acquiring Eidos, Square Enix has been hard at work with the licenses they grabbed with it. Rebooting Tomb Raider was a great step but we might see more of these in the future.

Were you a fan of the Soul Reaver games? Did you like it back when vampires were "cool"? Do you want a reboot? ...

If you're a fan of the Dragon Quest series but don't have anything to play them on, fear not! Dragon Quest VII was just released in Japan on the 3DS. There isn't any news about a NA version yet but seeing as how the Dragon Quest series is a popular one even here in NA and EU,it most likely will receive the translation treatment soon.

Dragon Quest VII was originally made for the PSone but recently got the makeover treatment and was ported to the 3DS. To add to what is already there it has been updated with monsters from Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D and StreetPass Shards. This will expand the gameplay far more than it ever was on its original platform. Not only that but they've added in 3D Maps from a Bird's eye view as well as more impressive graphics and animated movies.

In this entry you'll use stone plates to create portals to enter new realms. You'll start on the Estad islands and have a plethora of classes to choose from. If you're a Dragon Quest fan and have yet to play this ...

Eyes on Final Fantasy had the opportunity to be invited to a Square Enix event regarding Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. In the first entry of our visit we detailed the demo and the trailer we saw. Not only that but we had the impressions from a skeptic reported on as well. In this entry, we'll be discussing the presentation as well as the exclusive Q&A with Lightning Returns Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Motomu Toriyama.

After showing us the trailer we were greeted with a presentation by Kitase on how they feel about Lightning Returns. A vivid world with rich history full of drama and intrigue, the Nova Crystallis series was made to be a bit different than other Final Fantasy games. Being painted as a strong and powerful female, Lightning is key to every entry. They wanted to showcase this in the newest title, which was part of the reason she was chosen as the only playable character.

Many people are curious with how Lightning Returns works with the creative vision from the players themselves. The vision of how they personally felt the series should go. Player feedback was extremely prevalent in the first two entries, and ...

Eyes on Final Fantasy had a unique opportunity to once again be invited by Square Enix, thanks to community manager Robert Peeler, to preview another entry in the Nova Crystallis saga. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was shown to us in all its shining glory. We spoke with Producer Yoshinori Kitase and Director Motuma Toriyama for an in-depth look at this upcoming game.

In the first entry in a few series of articles about our visit, we’ll be discussing the trailer and the hands-off demo we witnessed. Combined with Toriyama and Kitase’s commentary, we had a first hand glimpse at the game and its new style.

Although the trailer was leaked early, we saw the full HD version of it with details from Kitase and Toriyama. We found out that the graphics in the video are not polished as you may be able to tell. They were more focused on the gameplay than on the graphics at the moment. Hoping to have the gameplay polished first, they wanted to show the major differences of the game for the fans.

Yup that's right, another teaser site. Square Enix loves their teasers! So what are they teasing this time? Well we're not sure. From their RSS feed that was sent out to well anyone who has them RSS'd they had the headline of " – ( ・ω・)=つ≡つ 2013.1.17 ⊂≡⊂=(・ω・ )."

Now they've said before that they were going to put Final Fantasy V on iOS,so it's likely to be that but, thanks to Siliconera, they've figured out what sprites are what! ...

Earlier today, When asked by a fan on twitter if there would be any news about the Final Fantasy X HD remake for the PS3 and Vita, Square Enix's Europe Division (posted by Hachima Kiko) replied with a “The world will get answers soon, we promise.”

Now a soon isn't much but it's more than what has been heard in a long while. While it's not a full remake, more of a remastering, FFX is one of the fan favorites that many are more than eager to hear any news about. Many were introduced into the series due to FFX on the PS2, much like how FFVII was the introduction for fans during the PSone era. Some even say that because of FFX, the ps2 was able to put it's foothold in for jrpgs.

The remastering was mentioned back in 2011 and hasn't been heard from since. When the fan asked he specifically asked about FFX being available on the vita and if it was ever going to come out. He must have been over joyed seeing as his reply to SE was accompanied with an emoticon. Here at Eyeson staff, I too am full of ...

If you thought that Square Enix's Luminous Engine would revolutionize every gaming studio's work, like unreal did, then you're mistaken. US CEO, Mike Fischer told Shack News, "This is an in-house tool. We're not building this around a licensing model." That's right, the beautiful Tech Demo we all saw, Agni's Philosophy, will be exclusive to Square Enix.

Seeing as how SE has recently been branching out with all types of different franchises, such as the recent Hitman: Absolution and the soon to be released Tomb Raider, we will see this engine at work on other titles as well. More and more companies are being merged with Square Enix so it could be a possibility to use this to entice others. Fischer went on to say, "It's my hope that this makes teams and creative people around the world excited to work for us because they'll get their hands on some of the best technology in the industry."

Rumored to be on the Xbox 720 and the PS4, which may be coming out this year, the Luminous engine could make everything drip ...

If you didn't know, Sony has stopped production on PS2's recently. No more will be made. It's generation is officially over. Square Enix isn't quite done with it yet! Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin is one last expansion to the MMO for the ps2. This week cover art was released for it. This will most likely be the last new cover art you will ever see for the System.

The Xbox 360 version looks near identical to this one. If you live in the west then unfortunately you wont be able to get the PS2 version as only the PC and 360 version will be available outside of Japan.

Not only that but some screens and trailer were recently released for the Expansion.

It's the new year today. 2013 is finally here! But let's not forget 2012.

This past year has been one of the best on this site in many of its long running years. Square Enix has been giving us the thumbs up: sending us posters, mentioning us in tweets and on their facebook. We held the poster giveaway contest that brought back many of our beloved members as well as graced us with some new ones. With the help of members here on the forums and Pike's help on twitter and facebook we were able to give out all the posters! We were one happy community with all our pretty Amano posters! Final Fantasy XIII-2 Came out this past year and although we visited SE for a first look late 2011 we did hold a giveaway for our members for a collectors edition early in 2012! DMKA won it! Two giveaways in one year! That's pretty lovely for our members. Who knew posting on an internet forum could get you free stuff?

We've created a community art group on Deviantart which helped create our first FF fan art contest! Those artist helped us out to make ...
