Until May 8th, Square Enix is having a huge sale at their North American online store. Games for systems going as far back as the Playstation era are available for a s little as $7.49. Included are all their hit series Deus Ex, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, and of course, Final Fantasy. Also available are collectibles such as plushes and soundtracks. Yasunori Mitsuda is a miracle all Chrono Trigger fans are glad happened. If he hadn't put his foot down, the iconic game would be quite different than what we remember today, as the music is one of those elements that makes this game so memorable. His work on Chrono Cross was also highly praised for its beautiful melodies and eclectic style, with many fans regarding it as the most perfect video game soundtrack of all time. And though Chrono Trigger did get the occasional symphonic medley along the way, for the longest time these soundtracks didn't really recevie a proper arrangement album. That changed in October 2015.

Japanese gaming site, Nishibun has reported that former Square Executive Vice President, Hironobu Sakaguchi, the man who was responsible for bringing to the world such great video game series as Final Fantasy and Chrono, is about to return to the company. No official title has been given, but it’s rumored that he will return to produce three more games before he officially retires from the gaming industry.
