It would make Earth... naked.

It would be better if they were completely clear. But then they wouldn't be as nice to look at, I guess.

I usually don’t. Ominous seas, and so forth.

I would never expect to come out of those waters alive.

Yep! Many sharp teeth. Strong jaws too, since they have too crack open oyster shells from rocks and so on.

Do they have teeth?

Not those ones. A big one was swimming behind me for a while, though; I thought it was going to bite my toes off.

So they're not hostile.
