why do the french have to be so damn picky?

New Year’s in New Zealand is a terrifying event. You see, we have these laws that allow the native people to live however they please. Usually they stay in their villages and rarely venture out... but there is one particular day of ritual that they come out: ‘Karangohape.’ I believe it has something to do with a legendary shaman. It also coincides with the white man’s New Year’s. While the petty white man goes out and poisons his body, the natives lace their souls with a 1000 year old venom and leave their villages for a hunt of massive proportions. Fortunately, they are afraid of cities, so the people there have nothing to worry about. Those outside, however, must be very careful. Oh, it is also illegal to harm a native. So no fighting back. Anyway. The natives set out and hunt the white men and take their women (they have this weird spiritual thing against directly harming children, but they still manage to rape the children’s souls by removing parents). Last year I think about 162 people died. Hmm. That reminds me. I better set up my household protection. I think they are going to be particularly savage this year.
