On Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Al Gore said (something like) “We need to be taking action now, not in 2080.” And if he uses the year 2080, then I take that as enough that it’s going to get much worse, but years from now. Additionally, if I’m going to be alive in 2080, I will need to be an old smurf. Something I don’t plan on being. Neither an old smurf or father.

And yeah. If it really comes to like oh no time we're gonna die, I'm sure we'll be able to do something that will work and keep us alive. But true, we have been around very long, and the sun is dying anyways.
