Homer promised Marge something special for Valentine's Day. He had got her a card which had monkeys and the word "You're a-peeling." on it. Marge, however, had already seen the card in the card.

Meanwhile, Apu is constantly performing acts of love to his wife Mandula. This is making all the men in Springfield angry at Apu.

As the episode climaxes, Homer is seen in a battle in the air, trying to prevent Apu's message for Mandula to be written. He manages to explode the tank after "I love you" (or something) was written. The explosion makes a shape which many women of springfield recognize to be a symbol of their husband's affection to them. Everyone except marge, that is. However, the plane Homer is one starts to crash, dragging Homer through a field of roses. Homer is thrown in front of marge and dumps the roses in front of her.
Marge accepts Homer and offers a snuggle. Homer replies: "uh... I think I have a collapsed lung.. but.. okay! "
