I know but don't worry, that was remedied almost immediately. Her Mum and Dad have a HD cinema room in their house so I thought it prudent to educate her as soon as was humanly possible. I was kind of hoping she hadn't seen the Harry Potter films either but alas... she had.

When I was a wee lad, my dad had an Atari 5200. He left it for me, but I left it @ one of my old places, which I still kind of regret. Not sure it would work today, anyway, as the controllers were notorious for breaking.

The oldest system I still own is my NES, my baby.

Cool. The 3DS seems like a pretty cool one.

What was the first system you got?

I played 8 @ Target & loved it. I think that's what I might pick for my bday gift, even though I'll have to wait to play until I can hook up my Wii U again.

The only handhelds I have are Game Gear, Game Boy Color & Game Boy Advance. I have a ton of older systems, going as far back as the NES. What about you?

Lots of good stuff on there. Right now I just have NintendoLand & Mario 3D World, but I highly recommend the later. NintendoLand is ok, but I think that's more a game where it's fun w/ friends.

That sucks. you should consider picking another up. I imagine they're pretty cheap nowadays. The wii u is ~300, so a wii has to be @ least 1/2 that. But if you do get a wii u, it is backwards compatible w/ the wii.

The most advance my computer can run is the DS & PSX emulators. BTW, the Wii U isn't backwards compatable w/ GC, only the Wii is. I think there might be GC games on the eShop, but right now the Wii U version of the eShop is pretty comparably bare to the Wii version.

I don't ever seem to have time, either.

The DoS versions are good. I did my Red Mage solo run w/ that version. I only played a moment of II on that version, though. Most of my FFII experience has been on the PSX version, which isn't bad.

I'm going to miss you, too. 1/5-3 weeks is what it should take. Really hoping it won't take longer than a 2 weeks, tho. I'll try to visit the library so I can check in here & I'll test the xfinity wifi thing, even tho my computer shows it has a weak to non-existent signal.

I shall begin tonight. Going to play 'em on emulators, but won't use save states (which I don't anyway). Probably the Dawn of Souls for I & II, the DS version of III (even tho it's kinda slow on my computer), & the Advance version of IV. BTW, tomorrow will be my last day w/ interwebz until the work is done on my place, so hopefully you'll be alright flying solo for a while.
