Well if the laser's gone out it's probably just the ribbon cable snagged. Or if the laser is simply out of synch it's really easy (but slightly time consuming to be honest) to get it tuned back in I know how to fix both problems.

Tray jams are common, it's a simple case of the catch has ridden up or the tray has jumped from the runners. Either way you'll need to open the case up to get the disc out.

In my opinion honestly if the PS2 is dead, the worst case scenario is you spend 0 money and 30 - 45 mins trying to get it working again and fail and have yourself in the same situation but with your KH2 disc in your hands. Best case scenario I help you fix it and you spent 0 money and have your ps2 back. Your decision though no skin of my nose to guide you through the process.

might need to add me on skype so I can video call to see you're doing a ps2 repair correctly but most of the problems with the ps2 I can fix. Some tools to have; Screwdrivers (all philips/posidrive/cross head, one suitable for extrernal screws and one smaller computer screwdriver), a thin object flat enough to lever/pull the rubber feet out of the bottom of your ps2, a pot of vaseline petroleum jelly or a can of wd40, both works as well, a clean paint brush/makeup brush, either your hoover with a sock/cloth on the end of the pipe for internal gentle suction or a can of compressed air if you have it. Also, a brightly coloured nail polish can help too. A dvd disc and a CD. If the ps2 is capable of being saved even as a first timer I should guide you through it in less than 30 mins.
