Yeah, I did the contests for the sake of forcing me to finish things within a time frame, which is my usual problem. I don't expect to win or anything, but it felt good to finally send something in at least.

Rejection can be hard, but it's par the course for this industry. Get thick skin and keep plugging it. I'm sure you'll find someone who will love it.

Glad to hear you finished a novel and you've sent it out. Good luck on that front, I hope you succeed and maybe kill two birds with one stone with the whole unemployment deal. What's your novel about?

I just submitted a flash non-fiction for a contest and I have three other works almost ready as well, but I'm not sure if I have anything truly ready to send to a publisher yet. I keep starting and stopping the habit of writing every day due to life throwing me punches, but finally getting something sent off did revitalize my desire to stick with a routine.

Meh, I'm okay. Been in the midst of rough patch, but a few key elements have finally started going my way, so I'm hoping that I can stay motivated to keep the momentum going.
