It's at least good that you were prepared for it. Some people don't get any warning at all. I was working for Royal Bank of Scotland during the Blue Monday Crash in 2009. It was awful. They only announced about 2000 redundancies to the press but they were issuing disciplinaries left, right and centre for nothing offenses trying to reduce the head count. I was having documented discussions with my team for ridiculous things. In the end they tried to pull me in for a disciplinary so I just left with immediate effect. It was such a horrible environment. Luckily I got this job after a few weeks but trying to find work when unemployed though is never fun.

I mean, from our end we could befriend some PR person. I mean, it's not a weird thing to consider, since we are part-news website. Might think about building some new connections. That would mean we editors would actually have more opportunities to do some serious journalism!

Yeah, if we don't have an SE contact, we should make one! Who would be a good fit? Who could make contact like that easily?

If they got us on board, we would have the opportunity to visit Japan!

We should totally hit them up on twitter. Say we're a reputable SE website and we make news and that we should have super special access to the museum and that they should pay for our flight tickets XD

Trip to Japan aside, i think it could really boost our site's reputation! XD
