if they were privatized the cost would go down bc nobody can afford 100,000$ for a weekend emergency room stay due to internal bleeding (for ex....go ask meghan brown from nikki's wall), so it would be adjusted for what can be affordable, not what can be paid.

It's all theory though. I don't think we've had a single pure market economy country in history.

well then i'll pay for it then >: [ - that's what insurance is for. I pay life insurance ! And I don't even have a kid! I would happily pay health insurance for the same reason - because at some point you'll put enough money into the insurance that it pays for itself (my life insurance pays for itself. I think because of the economy I paid like 20 bucks this year for my premiums)

I just like the idea of having control over my finances. Other people like it when the poorest people in a country get access to services...in USA the health care system is scary - most people who are uninsured cannot pay the inflated premiums (inflated because insurance companies pay for them) -

but I don't use the health care system. And I'm not crazy enough to think that we should privatize police or fire fighters btw so don't try that noise with ol' PG
