Writing just a little bit every day, and sticking to posting one solid letter a day, is really helping my writing habit. You should try it out! Write up a few characters and a story synopsis, and just write a little bit of it every day. Break it up into tiny chunks.

This may sound conceded, but their relationship fascinates me too. I'm having a lot of fun writing them. Where I'm writing right now, there's actually a little bit of drama between them, and no letters are sent for a few months. If I may say so, this is one of my better writing ideas XD

I'd love to have a little blog affiliation going on! It'll help both of us stay motivated! Woo!

I'm working on a full goatee right now. I can grow a beard and a mustache, but they just won't connect! I definitely wrote 'bard' first. It made me laugh. I CAN GROW A BARD.

Exactly. I still write every day, so I just get further and further ahead of the actual publication, but that gives me a lot of room to analyze each individual letter before I post it, so that I can make sure that everything works out and sounds the way that I want it. Like you said, it also gives me some leeway, just in case I'm not feeling motivated, or some real-life stuff is going on or something. It also KEEPS me motivated, which is weird but awesome. Basically, if I'm not feeling motivated, I just post whichever letter is next, and by the time I'm done reading through it and the subsequent letters, I'm like "GAH I WANT TO GET TO WRITING THIS PART ALREADY BECAUSE IT WILL BE AWESOME," and I end up motivated again.
