Knights of the Ebony Gauntlet, in addition to their awesome name, seem pretty badass.

Haha, don't mistake my exceptionally lucky kill as a measure of my skill! Lancer are absolutely beastly if you have good aim (I suggest first person mode when lancing). You can get a massive amount of bonus damage if you have a fast horse.

I'm currently building up a character to look like he's wearing Elite Knight Armor from Dark Souls. Dunno why. I just decided randomly. He's looking okay so far, but I can't find an acceptable chestpiece. At the moment I'm rocking Heraldic Plate and Mail, but I don't know what the banners look like yet! :/

Have you had a look at the Knighthood Orders yet? Pretty damn cool.

It also includes great upgrades to the sounds in the game. There are more background sounds, just to make it feel alive, and I'm pretty sure it has the More Metal Sounds mod, or something like it, so combat sounds really visceral. An army of leather draped brigands sounds considerably different to an army of full plate covered knights now.

One of the best feelings for me in this game is managing to get the perfect thrust (). The sword thrust is pretty useless for most engagements, but when you get it right, you feel like such a pro. One such occasion: running towards the enemy camp, a guy appears with his shield up. I set up a thrust, BOOSH!, goes over the top of the shield and gets him straight in the face. I didn't even stop moving. It was like a drive by.

smurfing. Holy ohmygodding balls. Get Prophecy of Pendor as soon as bloody possible. It's... just amazing. It's a fair bit harder than Native, though. I'm not longer running around swinging a two-hander, oh no! I'm back to sword and board, and the shield is almost always up. You know the first tutorial mission, to rescue the sibling? Well, I fumbled a bit, and the bandit archer and leader that I was fighting took me down to below half health in no time. Got it back with some truly expert blocking, but crikey.

Downloading and playing it should be the first thing on your to do list, above all social and family matters.

Ah, they make them for mod makers, see? It's so people who are making big mods like Prophecy of Pendor, Eagle and the Radiant Cross etc. can use setting appropriate gear. But still, I want to use setting appropriate gear too!

I'm actually gonna download Prophecy now. It's frequently said to be the best mod out there for Warband, so I figure I may as well give it a go.

I know. The worst thing is, you think that, and then it works perfectly. So you do another one. It works perfectly again. Then you install half a dozen mods perfectly without backing up at any stage and it's always the seventh that smurfs you over. xD

I'm massively upset now. I just discovered Narf's armour sets, and they are beautiful. Why am I upset, you ask? Because I'm only supplied with the textures and resource files; I have to code them myself. The problem is that I don't know how to code, and I just don't have the motivation to learn haha. I did, however, download The Eagle and the Radiant Cross, a module set in the Renaissance. I can't wait!

Also, I downloaded the Native Compilation module. It's just standard native, plus a host of nice mods like Diplomacy already coded in. Very useful for spazzes like me.

Exactly. I haven't had much of a go with it yet, but the things that I've seen are pretty nice. You can make a food shopping list, allowing you to quickly and easily buy the food you want from places, which is suprisingly useful! xD I also know that you can try to persuade your king to go to war, if you are his vassal. Damn cool. Have a Google, and you'll find the list of features.

Yup. You know what you boot up, and you get the Play Mount and Blade/Configure etc screen? In the drop menu, it says Native. That's the Module it's running. But some mods create completely new Modules which you boot off of. It's incredible. The Diplomacy mod is one such thing. It is essentially the same as native, but with whole new menu and dialogue options. Pretty gnarly. I cocked it up, however. My heraldry textures aren't loading on shields or armour, so I must've accidentally deleted something. Sigh. I hope I don't lose my save file...
