Sappy doesn't mean it's wrong. My parents have always been sort of poor, they've had to loan tons of money from the bank and stuff, but they've always been quite happy as far as I know. It's always simple pleasures that count for something.

You shouldn't worry about it just because everybody else does. My own made up statistics say that worrying about money is the number one cause of all that is bad in the world. War, murder, divorce, whatever. Most likely, you'll always get by somehow, so as long as you don't worry about it too much you can focus on good stuff instead.

Are they expecting something in particular from you? If not then there's nothing to be upset about, imho.

You basically start off with a limitless amount of stock characters that you can use to create your party of 1..3 people.

Once you get strong enough (if you get strong enough :O... I don't know if you'll like this game) you can quest to unlock other characters... that's where the whole super customization comes in.
