No, hair dyes like purple or blue aren't normal, and don't last very long. After about 3~ish months it's washed out and turned into a very light version of its colour. If you had to bleach your hair first [like me] then it'll mix with that blonde-ish colour. In the case of purple hair, it'll turn into a colour that's something like a skin colour you'd see on a moderately tanned Caucasian.
