That sounds about right, it's $2500 AUD to get to the UK. So balls, I wish it was cheaper! TV Tropes and wikias always get me if I'm not careful. Sometimes I'm too curious for my own good!
I've done really really well to not spoil myself lately, with lots of things, so I won't ruin it on this one I've seen some brilliant bargains in supermarkets but it's usually not worth the effort to visit them

Xbox exclusives end up on PC because of the whole Microsoft lovefest thing. That limits the appeal of the 360 library. I can't think of any real stand out 360 games, whereas you just have to look at Uncharted, Valkryia Chronicles, MGS etc etc. The library has really expanded in quantity and quality. Anyone entering the market now would be stupid to pick xbox over PS3. Yet they still do, goddamn fanboys. Halo is not a valid reason to buy an xbox even if I do love it to pieces.
Yeah, you can go a long way just being self taught, as long as you can show that you have what it takes.
