Do you know if there's any actual difference between philosophical pessimism and outright nihilism? They are defined differently for sure - would you say nihilism incorporates pessimism but you can be a pessimist without being a nihilist (because pessimism shouldn't have such a scope?)

Jess was aged 15 or so and getting poncey Lonny Bob MP3s from Lonny Bob, the usual pap he listens to. I issued some sort of threat against her - I cannot recall now, all I know is that it was something completely ridiculous and nonsensical - that I would carry out unless she stopped getting crap from him and demanded Japanese Boy instead.

She took my threats deadly seriously, stopped downloading Lonny crap and actually got him to send Japanese Boy to her. She sent it to me to prove she did it and to make sure I didn't carry out my awful threat. I am proud to still have that very same mp3 in my MSN Received Files to this day.
