I think that's a good plan. Announcements seem to have been underused in the past. Speaking of, is there like, an idiot's guide to writing those? Because I could never figure out what other buttons I had to use or if I should have them expire or what. Nobody told me what to do they were just like "yeah sure make an announcement whatever" xD

feedback only tends to come from the disenchanted (me etc) and that's not very beneficial as there is a clear agenda. The general memberbase does have opinions, they're just too apathetic towards it. I'm really glad that you guys are being proactive in soliciting information from everyone, even if half the staff disagree with the idea xD But yeah, the compromise is hilarious and entirely unexpected, but as it stands I think it's a good way to test the impact of different changes and see what the ultimate course of action will be

I can't imagine the sort of mayhem given how actually radical some of these things are. This trout was suggested "back in my day" and I read threads from earlier and this was never a possibility. Now, trout, policies are being discussed in the open. Crazy. Promising maybe? But still just impressive from an impartial observer standpoint.
