I think I got to like right before the end and found myself underlevelled and eugh smurf it I already know the gist xD
I still enjoyed it, because the Balthier-Basch combo was divine, but it probably won't rank on a top games list for you
That's because it draws too much on MMOs. There are few NPCs, and your first two major characters contribute nothing to the overarching plot. Everything looks big, but empty. The prologue or tutorial or whatever is such an ass; you shouldn't straight up kill the player like that. Final Fantasy XII had some great things within it but you had to really stick it out and I'm not sure it's worth it.
