It's more like a compulsion at times.

I don't know anyone who enjoys editing. Even a guy I know who edits other people's books for a living doesn't like it, but it gives him money whether or not said authors go with any of his edits. And half of them don't >.>

I just don't always love the full process. I at least stopped going back to edit stuff I wrote after finishing a chapter. That was really slowing me down.
