I kind of envy the fact that you Earthbound fans got a Mother 3 Translation but F-Zero fans don't have an F-Zero Climax translation.

Yeah. Shooting weapons at other racers is always fun.

F-Zero doesn't have any weapons. Although you can attack others by side swiping them while hitting the L or R button twice (usually a 1 hit KO if you get a clean shot) or by doing a spin attack (not as powerful but easier to hit with).

    Oh. Just like Goldenboko eh?

Well, I guess I don't blame you seeing how in general people care more about Captain Falcon and the Falcon Punch more than they do the actual game that Captain Falcon is from. I was like that back then but I know better now.

Honestly though, you do seem like the F-Zero type of person though who'd main Jack Levin and Zoda.

    No F-Zero?

Ah, so you just aren't a fan of Choose your own Adventures? Understandable, they aren't everyone's thing.

But does that mean you would pass on You Are A Miserable Excuse For A Hero?

And what is the problem with VN games? If you enjoy reading books a visual novel isn't much different(though like books they can suck horribly if you get ahold of the wrong one).

Hmm... speaking of not getting around to it. The first 30 minutes of the game took me like 2 weeks to get through. I just didn't feel like sitting down and playing it.

And now that I think of it, people coming form the anime to the game or from the game to the anime probably have similar issues. Since Fate/Stay Night is such a story driven game/anime knowing all the plot probably makes it a bit dull(now if only F/S N was like the Utawarerumono game where it doesn't matter if you know the story since the game part i just fun!).

    I see.

And really Fate/Stay Night is pretty much just reading a novel(of the choose your own adventure kind). And the bad ends are just fun to read, oh the many horrible ways in which Illya kills you.

They have a little omake type thing that happens after the bad ends called the tiger dojo. In it they tell you want needs to be done to progress(they don't want you to get stuck). However, it i just done in a 'joking' way. In one they comment on how for Tiger Dojo 8(the 8th bad ending in the game) Illya has already murdered you 5 different times . And lets not start on their commentary on the way you die(I forgot to mention but the Dojo is run by Taiga and Illya, so you can imagine how that works!).

Out of curiosity what was the problem you were having? Visual Novels are usually pretty straight forward installs, so I have a hard time even coming up with potential problems with them.

Unless you were talking about the English Patch. Even the latest one has had some issues on a few computers(some sort of problem with run32dll causing the system to hang).

Me and a guy Talk about FF For an hour and a half.

by NeoCracker on 01-11-2015 at 11:14 PM
So far this is the third 'Podcast' if you want to call it that I've done.

http://www.aguywhogames.com/?p=111

Basically the point was to discuss whether or not FF X was a good game (And I must say, most convincing argument I've heard for it yet ), though we never discussed Symore at all.

Really though we end up talking about all the numbered FF's, and it was quite a bit of fun!

Kind of a New Years Resolution

by NeoCracker on 12-28-2010 at 02:52 AM
So, as of late I've been slacking off on a lot of things.

And by a lot of things I mean two things.

First off, I'm out of shape, as I've not been excersizing all that much. I mean I'm a small guy, yet I'm starting to get a little flab on me belly. That's not cool man.

So, I got me a Tae Bo tape for now, since those are fairly light work outs, and I'm starting to do it two times a week. Now by febuary I plan to pick up an instructional Martial arts book,

Games that Recieve Little Attention - Rune Factory 3

by NeoCracker on 12-27-2010 at 09:58 PM
Harvest Moon may have been a well know series, but it's one most gamers have shied away from, finding the very concept of a farming simulator to be a waste of time.

So when Rune Factory first came out, a spin off of the Harvest Moon franchise, it flew under most gamers radars entirely, yet still managed to gain it's own little solid and growing fan base, spreading out from it's DS roots and landing on the Nintendo Wii with Rune Factory Frontier.

The series latest installment,
