Ah, I see. Well, the loyalty thing does sound like it would be a massive pain. Especially since I usually like to focus on a few fighters through a whole game rather than updating gradually in games where you can constantly recruit new characters (like... the first few custom characters I make in Disgaea etc). So constantly having to worry about that first, precious, favourite demon leaving sounds like a massive pain.

And that Zedla game is absolutely a title I'll be chacking out once I get a 3DS myself. I really should just buy one, but I can't decide between the normal and the XL version.

Also, off to awesome convention I shall go (tomorrow)! Will be back late Sunday.

Well, that sucks. What exactly is it that you don't like about it? I doubt it's as bad as Time and Eternity?

Well, if Skyblade liked it I suppose there might still be some hope- *remembers the trailer* -ah, or not, haha, nevermind.

Later, I might watch that "Let's Play" he linked to. Because I have to admit I am kinda curious to see just how bad it actually is.

Well, that's the final nail in the coffin then. I actually watched the trailer that DMKA linked to, and I have to admit the way it was presented was cringeworthy.

Oh, and I've gotten about 26 hours into Ys Seven. And if there is one thing that this game does really, really well... it's the boss battles. Not a single one has been disappointing and only two of them felt about average. The bigger boss battles are among the best I've seen in any RPG. And... save Mana Khemia's and P3's final bosses, Ys Seven has the best boss battles for any handheld game I've played... by a mile.

I think I might get even more out of them since I'm playing at Hard, which makes some of the bosses just as challenging as Smough and Ornstein in Dark Souls, adding to the intensity. But I doubt they'd be a lot less exciting on normal.

Overall I'd say the bosses alone are good enough to, probably, make the game end up on my top 5 PSP games list.

...ah. Well... looks like the reviews weren't all that off after all. In fact, it even sounds like the reviews that gave it 4/10 were far too kind.

...did you ever get to a battle? Didn't see anything about the battle system in the chat-quotes.

Me and a guy Talk about FF For an hour and a half.

by NeoCracker on 01-11-2015 at 11:14 PM
So far this is the third 'Podcast' if you want to call it that I've done.

http://www.aguywhogames.com/?p=111

Basically the point was to discuss whether or not FF X was a good game (And I must say, most convincing argument I've heard for it yet ), though we never discussed Symore at all.

Really though we end up talking about all the numbered FF's, and it was quite a bit of fun!

Kind of a New Years Resolution

by NeoCracker on 12-28-2010 at 02:52 AM
So, as of late I've been slacking off on a lot of things.

And by a lot of things I mean two things.

First off, I'm out of shape, as I've not been excersizing all that much. I mean I'm a small guy, yet I'm starting to get a little flab on me belly. That's not cool man.

So, I got me a Tae Bo tape for now, since those are fairly light work outs, and I'm starting to do it two times a week. Now by febuary I plan to pick up an instructional Martial arts book,

Games that Recieve Little Attention - Rune Factory 3

by NeoCracker on 12-27-2010 at 09:58 PM
Harvest Moon may have been a well know series, but it's one most gamers have shied away from, finding the very concept of a farming simulator to be a waste of time.

So when Rune Factory first came out, a spin off of the Harvest Moon franchise, it flew under most gamers radars entirely, yet still managed to gain it's own little solid and growing fan base, spreading out from it's DS roots and landing on the Nintendo Wii with Rune Factory Frontier.

The series latest installment,
