I don't remember a whole lot about Jess since it's been a few years since my last playthrough, but from the little I've played on my new one I do like her quite a bit.

I actually started my second playthrough just a while ago.

I got the music DLC. Mana Khemia music everywhere ftw. I love how you can change the music that plays absolutely everywhere in this game. I currently got Mana Khemia's "Future of Dreams" playing in every town, every workshop and on the world map. And the music that plays during overdrive-attack finishes changes randomly between the Mana Khemia opening and that silly music that plays when Jessica screws up her alchemy and stuff. It was hilarious to have that music play during Linca's overdrive against the mecha dragon and its defeat-animation.

I'll probably have to do that too, since I only have like 8 days left until the "game ends" and I doubt that's enough to prepare properly. It wouldn't be such a big issue if the dragon didn't heal itself so much though. But right now, it heals more than I'm capable of dealing damage.

I'll probably just go for NG+ right away and get the DLC dungeon while I'm at it.

...and the swimsuits.

While most of them aren't that much harder, I did find a few of those fights a little bit more difficult than Yggdra.

...but then there is, apparently, one battle that make all the others look like total jokes. I went into the salt desert and found a small black dragon. At first, it seemed like just another semi-boss of average difficulty (except with even more health). But then, after a few turns, it transforms into a big, badass-looking dragon with insane HP and can deal like 300 damage with some of its attacks. After that transformation, it destroyed me in 4 turns.

So, there is at least one battle that requires you to really make the most out of your item creations in order to stand a chance. Awesomesauce!

Ah, alrighty! I actually just managed to save Nio - with only about 3 months or so left. So I will now make awesome stuff for NG+.

...and damn, there weren't many actual boss fights in this game. But the few it had were pretty awesome. While not quite on par with Mana Khemia's final boss, Yggrdrasil was pretty epic. Great music, fitting atmosphere and interesting fight overall.

Are there any optional bosses/super bosses in the game by the way? Linca is looking for a tough foe to smack around.

Seems like the time limit wasn't quite as bad as I thought, and I actually have quite a bit of time left before time runs out. Only just now found out there was an accessory that reduces traveling time too.

Yes. And as a person who gets easily addicted to item creation/equipment modification systems in general... all the creation options this game give you... makes time fly by quickly. Not just real time, but also in-game time, apparently.
