I'm 1/4 german and unfortunately that quarter is the quarter that has the last name attached to it. Saebsch. That's annoying to spell/pronounce.

I dunno.

I just asked my mum why and she said "to be different". That's nothing compared to my sister's mutilation of a name, Schahlar (pronounced Shayla).

I'm not ruling out the possibility.
