I get called Stef because Steven (my full name ick I hate the n on the end) comes from the name Stephanos in greek. Well my name was meant to be spelt Stephen according to my mom but the clerk mis-spelled it and my mom was happy to keep it that way. (lazy woman) So the abbrieviation is Steph for the "correct" spelling of my name or Steve for how it is spelt. Most of my mates call me Steve but some call me Steph theres plenty of jokes to be made there I know and Yani simply takes the ph and substitutes it for the phonetic F hence Stef.
