Well the book does confirm that Jonathon and Walter are reincarnations of Tokyo residents.

I think Jonathan and Walter are reincarnations of Kiyoharu and Kenji from the Neutral timeline.

You know, a lot of it has actually grown on me. Barring Lucifer and the weird 3D demons, I kind of like the others. But yeah, the book has some really cool details. Apparently Navarre was a fans favorite among the staff for his butt monkey nature in the script, and there are some really intriguing details about Mikado Castle that is easy to miss, but quickly makes sense in context. I haven't even gotten to the Tokyo sections.

It did help with a pet theory of mine about the game, so that made me happy, though no word of god yet.

I think Kaneko most likely got kicked upstairs like Kitase and previously Sakaguchi had for Square. He's more of an executive than an actual designer anymore, and as far as I know Strange Journey was the last game he really worked on as the main creative force. I know he worked on SMTIV's original scenario, but it also sounds like he came up with the idea and just handed it to the development team to sort out the details.

Speaking of which, I picked up the artbook for SMTIV at my convention this past weekend. Udon got the rights to translate and print it over here, so their some interesting info to be found, and the storyboard artwork is pretty gorgeous.

Oh they have some funny memes, for sure.

I think they are actually making a new team, though it could potentially have some members of other teams in it. I think it would be interesting to drag Kaneko back into the franchise, especially since I feel he could "punk" up the social link aspect.

From what I've heard, Persona is getting a new development team. It will be interesting to see if they'll go their own direction and make something new of the franchise, or if the heads of Atlus will just have them redo what's been working.

I did enjoy the battle with Kandori, it felt like an amusing play on the battle with Kefka if he had Sephiroth's personality quirks.

I may not have proper info then. To be fair, I've never bothered to get Vishnu. I've tried and then got bored.

Technically it's a series tradition to hide the best Persona behind the final boss.

I believe it's in Maki's world and it should be the northern most point on the map. It's called Mikage Ruins. You can refight all of the demons you may have missed there. It's twelve floors and I know Alice is one of the demons only found there that you'll need to make a pact with. She also drops a rare item used to make another high power Persona. The final floor let's you deal with the Karma class demons and refight some of the bosses. The floors only open up as you complete the game, just like the abandoned factory in P2. You will not be able to access the top five floors until you beat the game on the Best Ending route, so you'll have to wait until then to get Vishnu.
